Hi! My name is Kayla. I have been a part of the Newmarket community offering vegan and organic hair services since
September 2020.
For the record- Yes, I was absolutely that kid that took it upon myself to update my barbies hair with marker-highlights and kitchen scissor haircuts. I was also that teen who ruined a number of towels and bath tubs experimenting with fashion colors. None of this has changed over the years. I am still known for always changing my color. I just know what I'm doing now! My passion for creative hair has been a part of me for a long time.
It's safe to say I have always marched to the beat of my own drum, and I love helping fellow creatives and misfits shine and feel like their authentic selves.
I truly enjoy advancing my craft within my specialty with further education in fashion colors, blonding, and razor haircutting. I see my role as a stylist as more than the person that does your hair. I work together with each of my guests to create a long term hair care plan that ensures your color, cut, and style is always looking fabulous! The health and integrity of your hair is my main goal. Starting with an in depth consultation, to the best at home hair care for your hair needs, to all the fun in between.
I have always had a passion for animals as well. My pets mean the world to me. With a dog and two cats 90% of the photos in my phone are either pictures of them or hair.
I decided to live a vegan lifestyle a few years ago. It is the best decision I have made for myself, the animals, and the environment.
